James Carl Caudle

James Carl Caudle,62, of Talbotton, GA passed away peaceful in his sleep on Wednesday, January 4th 2023. His battle with cancer was short lived and he is resting in peace with our Lord Jesus. He had an easy-going personality and never met a stranger. Carl loved his family almost as much as he loved to hunt and fish, maybe even a tiny bit more. Carl retired from a long career at Lockheed Martin and left many good memories with his work family over the 32 years of service as a machinist and union steward.

Carl is proceeded by his father James William Caudle, Jr. and mother Edith T. Caudle and is survived by his sister Jackie Sackie and Mike Sackie along with their 3 children (9 great nieces and nephews). Carl maintained contact and good relationship with his ex-wife Jan Baird along with her two sons he helped raise. Carl was known as “pops” to Adam Napper and Michael Brown (deceased) and Michael’s sons Tristan and Charlie.

Carl was a family man and stayed close to his aunts, Beulah and Joann along with his many cousins on the Thrift side. He was able to always light up the room with his big personality, huge smile and bright blue eyes. Carl continued to bring joy to others by becoming one of the best Santa’s, achieving a lifelong dream and putting his white beard and beautiful smile to good use. Carl was a giver and would help anyone in need with his selfless character and was a great example to all of his family and friends.
