James Macon Bryant, 94, of Seale, AL died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Donnie Lumpkin officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Bryant was born April 17, 1924 in Elba, AL son of the late Louie Coe Bryant and Jullie Miller Bryant. He was a construction worker for Alabama Power and was a member of Oakview Church of God in Phenix City, AL. He was a loving family man who loved to garden and never met a stranger.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Francis Morrow Bryant and his first wife, Ivy Knotts Bryant.
Survivors include his children, Bonita Burch (Richard) of Madison, AL, Tony Bryant (Glena) of China Springs, TX and Kathy Taylor (Roy) of Seale, AL, brother, Henry "Pete" Bryant (Linda) of Seale, AL, 6 grandchildren, Richie and Adam Burch, Gina Dolley, Vicki, James and Erick Bryant, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
