James W. Brown, 76, of Salem, Alabama died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL 36867 with Rev. Emory Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born November 19, 1937 in Phenix City, AL, son of the late Zeff Frank Brown and Mattie Lou Wade Brown. He attended Faith Temple Assembly of God Church and worked at WIPO Manufacturing Company.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Nickey Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Brown of Phenix City, AL; sons, Joseph Carl Brown (Vickie), and Michael Brown (Tasha); daughters, Angela Whitley and Louise Hall (Robert); sister, Gladys Mays (Jerry); brother, Alfred Loudermilk; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
