James William "Jim" Boyd

James William "Jim" Boyd, 86, of Phenix City, Al. died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Jack Hughston Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, February 1, 2019 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Mr. Ben Giselbach officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Boyd was born May 29, 1932 in Hopkinsville, KY. son of the late William Hugh and Katherine Pepper Boyd. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Boyd was an avid golfer, member of Edgewood Church of Christ and the retired owner of Boyd Adjustment Co.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Z. Boyd, two sons, William Kevin Boyd (Thressea) of Valdosta, Ga., David Boyd (Theresa) of Fortson, Ga., two grandchildren, Jessica Katherine Boyd of Tallahassee, Fl., and Lee Boyd of Columbus, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Columbus 5156 River Road, Columbus, Ga. 31904.
