Jake was born on January 17th, 2002 in Scranton, Pennsylvania but spent the majority of his life in Columbus, GA. He was an extremely hard worker and after starting out as a server at The Juicy Seafood restaurant in Columbus, he was so proud to have been promoted to Manager at the new Auburn restaurant. He loved his work, had big dreams and always put 100% plus effort into everything he cared about. He liked to drive fast, play his music loud and strived to live his life to the fullest. He absolutely loved to play soccer, “Offense-Defense” in the back yard with his family, pull practical jokes, laugh big, and collect expensive sneakers and wild socks. He was the biggest Minnesota Viking and Georgia Bulldog fan and loved watching the games. What Jake loved most of all was to make the most of his time with his friends and family. He had the biggest heart and always took care of everyone.
Jake was an amazing son and loving brother. He is survived by his parents, Tanja and Butch Cady, his older sister, Mariah Cady, his younger brothers, Johnny Cady and Mark Cady, his Grandparents Betty and Jerry Every, his Oma and Opa Birgit and Werner Rappold, his Aunt Coral, his Uncle Jon and Aunt Caryl Bunkowske, his Aunt Kendra, his Uncle Bear, his Uncle Marco, his Uncle Holger, his Uncle Enrico, and many cousins who he adored. Jake was an outgoing person and had many friends and co-workers who meant the world to him. He loved them all and was the most loyal man and friend anyone could ever ask for. Trying to list them all would be impossible.
Jake was a member of Christ Community Church, where some of his most precious memories were made teaching in Kingdom Kids (Splash Children’s ministry) and helping with Vacation Bible School. He loved kids more than anything and would put in extra hours with them every Sunday. In lieu of flowers and to ensure his legacy lives on, we ask that you please visit ccclive.org/give and select "Give Online." Select "Splash Children's Ministry" in the fund dropdown menu, and then denote "Jake Cady" in the memo form. If you prefer to mail a gift, please denote "Jake Cady" in the check memo and mail gifts to: Christ Community Church 4078 Milgen Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. It would be his greatest wish that more children get to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
From all of his friends and family: Jake, we love you to the moon and back and you will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for teaching us to live a bit more and laugh a bit harder in our precious time here together. You have left a big hole in our lives down here but it brings us peace to know that you are now with Jesus. The Lord has gained an Angel and until we see you again, fly high Jake.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the chapel service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.
