Jacquelyn Gowan, 79 of Smiths died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at her home.
A memorial service will be held from 4 till 7 PM, Friday, November 12, 2010 at the VFW, 1824 Victory Drive, Columbus, GA according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St., Phenix City, AL.
Ms. Gowan was born June 18, 1931 in Glenwood, GA daughter of the late Kate Morrison Gowan and Ervin Gowan. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Auten Poultry Co.
Survivors include her sons, Michael L. Lyman and wife Laura of Fountain, FL and Allan Lyman of Smiths, AL; daughter, Cindy Rathel and Dennis Malaney of Smiths, AL; grandson, Michael R. Rathel and wife Jessica; great granddaughter, Madison Rathel and great grandson, Kaden Rathel; brother, Louie E. Gowan and Frank B. Gowan; sister, Fern Atwood; numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends and her loving and faithful companion Chi-Chi.
