Jack I. Rowe, 88 of Columbus, Ga. died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Jack was born December 07, 1930 in Columbus, Ga. son of the late Lewis Drake and Lucile Marshall Rowe. He graduated from Jordan High School and later received a degree in Economics from Valdosta State College. He grew up loving sports and played basketball at Valdosta State College. He lived most of his adult life in Valdosta where he was a realtor for many years. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army Security Agency.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his siblings, Martha McJunkin, Lewis D. Rowe, Jr., and Ralph H. Rowe, nephew Ronnie Rowe and great nephew Philip Harris, Jr. He was also preceded in death by a special person in his life, Mary Blackwell of Valdosta.
He is survived by six nieces, Vicky Veteto of Cumming, Ga., Ivy Harris (Phil), Georgette Hackett (Bob), Becky Stewart (Mike) all of Columbus, Ga., Debbie McJunkin of Smith Station, Beth Thompson (Ronnie) of Panama City, Fl.; six nephews, Jay Foster (Debbie) of Winston-Salem, NC, Randy Foster (Melanie), Gippy Foster (Sandra), Tommy McJunkin, Johnny McJunkin all of Columbus, Ga., Larry Rowe (Vicki) of Tarpon Springs, Fl and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
