Jack Richard Olinger 84 of Oxford, Georgia died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his residence in Oxford, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2020 in Evergreen Memory Gardens 4500 St. Mary’s Road Columbus, Georgia 31907 according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Mr. Olinger was born September 13, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia son of the late Charles Olinger, Sr. and Octolena Bell Olinger. Jack was formally of Columbus, Georgia moving to Austell, Ga. and finally settling in Oxford in 1981. Most of his life Mr. Olinger was a roofer and loved dancing and playing poker. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Oxford.
Other than his parents, Mr. Olinger was preceded in death by his 1st wife Helen Olinger and his daughter-in-law Kaki Olinger.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorothy I. Olinger of Oxford, Georgia, children, Suzann Lowry (Greg) of Powder Springs, Georgia, Jennifer Edwards (Wes) of Astatula, Florida and Jack Olinger, Jr. of Rockmart, Georgia, brother, Carl Olinger of Wabash, IN., sister, Betty Arnett of Louiville, Ky. 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
