Jack Norman Nevels, 90, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Jonathan Taylor officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Nevels was born April 2, 1928 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Chester and Gertrude Christiansen Nevels. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and later worked as the Manager at Columbus Packaging Company for 46 years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 sisters, 1 brother, son, Bruce Nevels, daughter, Cindy Anderson Reavis and great-grandson, Waylon Jones.
Survivors include his loving wife, Glenda Morris Nevels, children, Beth Eaton (Rick), Steve Anderson (Robin) and Terri Parrish (Chris), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends.
