Irmtraut Helga Nobles

Irmtraut Helga Nobles, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Cumming Health and Rehab.

Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, December 13, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus GA 31907.

Irmtraut was born February 3, 1937 in Germany to the late Fritz Paul Kunter and Klara Else Kunter. While working at an officer club in Berlin Germany, she met than later married Haskew Hall Nobles. Irmtraut moved to the U.S, acquired her U.S citizenship by herself, and raised her three children together  with Haskew. Besides raising her children, she made sure she got to participate in her favorite sport of bowling by joining a league, to which she accumulated over 20 trophies. When her husband Haskew passed, her son treated her up to three times a year to Las Vegas, Nevada where she had found her streak of luck playing bingo. In Las Vegas, Irmtraut enjoyed seeing all the Vegas shows, Las Vegas Knights hockey games, and MMA fights. Most importantly, Irmtraut looked forward to seeing her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren the most.

Other than her parents, Irmtraut is preceded in death by her husband, Haskew Nobles.

She is survived by her sons; Brian Nobles of Buford, GA and Bernard Nobles (Amelia) of Columbus, GA; daughter Belinda Gibbs (Mark) of Harris County, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Gibbs, Jeremiah Gibbs, Joseph Gibbs, Bethany Nobles,  and Catie Nobles; step-grandchild, Abby Stone as well as 7 great-grandchildren; her nieces/nephew, Mona Boutwell, Evelyn Haines, Frankie Cruz; and friends and family.
