Iris Faye Vincent, 73, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William Carstens officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. A reception will be held following the service at Living Way Church 7320 Whitesville Rd. Columbus, GA 31904. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Vincent was born June 12, 1937 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Willie Carl and Clara Lloyd Roberts. She retired as a hairdresser from Sherrell and Company Hair Salon.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tammie Heather (Arthur) of Cataula, GA and Pamela Woodall (Michael) of Crawford, AL, four grandchildren, Micki Gibson, Justin Gibson, Amanda Elliott and Troy Nichols, and four great grandchildren, Kyleigh Gibson, Kaitlin Free, Layla Free, and Evan Elliott.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Easter Seals of West Georgia 2515 Double Churches Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
