Irene Kasberger Wright

Irene Kasberger Wright, 96, of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.

Private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Irene was born August 14, 1928 in Passau, Germany to the late Joseph Hintermeir and Agnes Kasberger Wagner. After graduating from high school, Irene attended Berufsschule Passau in association with business education. She met her husband, Erwin G. Wright, and began a new journey with him in the United States of America. Irene raised her children and was an avid host for friends and family. She enjoyed inviting friends over for coffee and cake. She ensured that everyone stayed well fed.

In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Erwin Wright.

Irene is survived by her sons, Richard Wright of Columbus, GA and Glenn Wright (Michelle) of Parrish, FL and granddaughter Samantha Wright of Columbus, GA.
