Irene B. Thomas, 71, of Columbus, GA died Friday, February 17, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapelwith Father George Gonzalez and Chaplain James Cornett officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday, February 19 and 20, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Thomas was born April 15, 1940 in Erlangen, Germany daughter of the late Arthur Franck and Maria Franck. She was a homemaker and Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jimmie C. Thomas of Columbus, GA; children, Eric Thomas (Beth) of Fortson, GA, Linda Wilkins (Doyle) of Buena Vista, GA, Susanne Cramer of Fortson, GA and Christopher Thomas of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Arthur Franck (Theresa) of Switzerland, Europe and Werner Franck (Sophie) of Munich, Germany; sister, Anna Griessa-Franck of Munich, Germany; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and Shiela Thomas of Louisville, KY and David and Brenda Thomas of Jeffersonville, IN; sister-in-law, Linda Parnell of Louisville, KY; and grandchildren, Michael Scott Cramer, Jr., Kristina Tiffany Cramer, Michele Irene Wilkins, Brittany Lee Wilkins, Megan Oakes and Abbie Oakes.
