Iowana Bedsole Tate, 63, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tate was born April 16, 1953 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late George and Annie Jewell Starling Bedsole. She worked in Computer Processing at AFLAC. She loved cooking and loved her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Bedsole.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Kenneth Tate of Columbus, GA, daughter, Kristina Knox (Brandon) of Willington, NC, sisters, Allaine Ridenour (Keith) of St. Simons Island, GA and Melinda Kennon (Gerry) of Columbus, GA, brother, George Bedsole (Reka) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Logan and Cameron Knox, and numerous nieces and nephews.
