1SGT (Ret) Angel Luis Morales, Jr. 55, of Columbus, GA died September 4, 2014 at his residence.
Graveside Services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 AM EST, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Sgt. Morales was born May 18, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois son of Angelo Luis Morales, Sr. and Jacqueline Gilles and was Catholic by faith. He retired from the United States Army with 22 years of service which included assignments in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was presently working as a civilian contractor with U.S. Civil Service.
Sgt. Morales is survived by two daughters, Angelina Maria Morales and Tina Brannon (Thomas); one son, Angel Morales III; three brothers, Anthony Morales (Kit), Anton Morales and Jeffery Morales; one sister, Ana Morales and six grandchildren, A'liahna Morales, Sh'kale Barnes, Ciara Barnes, Destiny Brannon, Gabriel Brannon and Caleb Brannon.
