Ila B. Colson, 76, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 17, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gene Boyd officiating. A private entombment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Colson was born June 14, 1936 in Wacissa, FL daughter of the late Robert Parnell Bramblett and Ila Olivia Connell Bramblett. She worked as the Account Representative for GMAC and was a member of East Columbus Lioness Club.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Douglas Colson, brothers, Robert P. Bramblett and Larry Bramblett, and sister, Marie Stamper.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristin Colson Hathaway of Columbus, GA, two sisters, Marceline B. Guthrie of Tallahassee, FL and Karen B. McDaniel (Paul) of Wacissa, FL, granddaughter, Halie Hathaway of Columbus, GA, sister-in-law, Tina Bramblett of Whigham, GA, and brother-in-law, Rodney Stamper of Tallahassee, FL.
