Ila Gail Roland Carpenter, 68, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Carpenter was born January 26, 1948 in Donaldsonville, GA to the late William Roland and Ila Florene Conway. Gail was a floral designer at Belinda's Florist. Ms. Carpenter was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Country Boys.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, James Conway, and two sisters, Brenda Davis, and Linda Youndt.
Survivors include daughters, Deneen Peil, Angela Fabian (Lee), and Sherry Sweat; son, Jonas Billiot (Laurie); grandchildren, Matthew Peil (Joyce), Morgan Peil, Kevin Beasley, Erin Billiot, Natalie Fabian, and Adam Billiot; and nephews, Mark Youndt (Michelle), and Mike Youndt.
