Huey Franklin Davis,Sr., 64, of Columbus, GA was called home to Glory in the early morning hours of Saturday April 12, 2014 at his residence with his loving wife of 30 years by his side.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday April 15, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA with Reverend Thomas Pope and Reverend Udell Addison officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Huey was born September 29, 1949 in Columbus, GA. He worked in maintenance as a pipefitter with Columbus Consolidated Government and St. Francis Hospital. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Huey was preceded in death by his parents John and Annie Lora Davis, sisters Betty Sizemore and Virginia Pate Woodham and a brother Waylon Davis.
Left to Cherish his memory are his loving wife Diane, sons Chris Davis (Anita), Frankie Davis (Sherry), and Graham Davis (Robin), daughter, Gena Davis, grandchildren, Christina Davis, Amanda Davis, Scott Davis, and Jayden Grissett, great granddaughter, Aubree Callahan, his "buddy" and special nephew, Sonny Pate, special nieces, Donna Grafals, Janet Brewer, nephews, Randy Pate, Sean Nixon, and Jeremiah Nixon.
