Homer Clayton Bartlett, 72 of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. Immediately after the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Tami Taylor at 1068 Valencia Dr. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Bartlett was born May 29, 1939 in Guntersville, AL son of the late Cecil and Eula Davis Bartlett. He was the office manager for Firestone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gussie Bates Bartlett, daughter, Terri Poole, special brother-in-law, Joe Bates and sister, Imogene Smith.
Survivors include his daughters, Tami Taylor (Chuck) and Tina Bartlett all of Columbus, GA; sisters, Billie Schultz (Neal) of Prattville, AL, Mary Bates of Columbus, GA and Maggie Grider of Guntersville, AL; brothers, Cecil Bartlett, Jr. (Kathy) of Arab, AL and Larry Bartlett (Kathy) of Box Springs, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wanda & Johnny Klimp of Box Springs, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Poole, Bryan Pate, Amanda Bartlett, Ashley Earley and Brittany Bartlett; great grandchildren, Bradley Poole, Katie Bartlett and Kamron Provo and numerous nieces and nephews.
