Hilda Carolyn Hughes, 71, Columbus, GA, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery with Father Jeremiah McCarthy officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hughes was born August 30, 1942 in Monroe County, GA, daughter to the late Bill Randolph and Ora Lee Beasley. She retired from the Muscogee County School District and enjoyed spending time with her family and camping.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Freddie Louie Hughes of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Lisa Finley (Ricky); two grandchildren, Brandi Wrenn and Daniel Loyd; two great-grandchildren, Will Norris and Gracie Wrenn all of Columbus, GA; one brother, Terrell Beasley (Nancy) of Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law, Joan Bolton (Jimmy) of Dahlonega, GA; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
