Hilda Faye Alexander, 66, of Columbus, GA died Monday, February 14, 2011 at her home.
A private graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Udell Addison officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Alexander was born December 26, 1944 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Joe E. and Jewell McClung Brown. For over 20 years she worked as a crossing guard and later retired as a Cafeteria Worker with the Muscogee County School District. She also attended Central Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Arnold Alexander, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Carmen Aglialoro (Larry) of Columbus, GA, two sons, Greg Alexander (Winoma) of Columbus, GA and Arnie Alexander (Amy) of Columbus, GA, two sisters, Joyce Brooks of Columbus, GA and Joann Tucker of Columbus, GA, six grandchildren, Brandi Kirkland, Gregory Alexander, Jodi Alexander, Trey, Loren and Zack Alexander, and three great grandchildren, Kinsley, Cole, and Katie Kirkland.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation 2600 Network Blvd. Suite 300 Frisco, TX 75034.
