Hiawatha Starks, Jr., 64, of Columbus, GA died Monday, August 15, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Starks was born May 5, 1947 in Union Springs, AL son of the late Hiawatha Starks, Sr. and Atwilda Griggs Starks. He retired from the Athens Civic Center as a custodian. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his daugher, Rhonda Starks of Columbus, GA, his son, Marcus Andre Starks, Sr. (Waleska) of Springfield, MA, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, four brothers, General C. Starks of Springfield, MA, Albert L. Starks (Annie) of Columbus, GA, Ezzard C. Starks, Sr. of Springfield, MA and Leroy Starks (Irene) of Springfield, MA, and one sister, Patricia A. Starks of Athens, GA.
