Henry Simon Bernier

Henry Simon Bernier, 79, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Bernier was born May 8, 1940 in Woonsocket, RI son of the late Henry Bernier and Lauree Gregoire Bernier. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, truck driver and later worked in maintenance at the Columbus Airport.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Mello and beloved stepson, Charles Plowden.
Survivors include his wife, June Bernier, brother, Albert Bernier, daughter, Joyce Bernier Clark, son, Jimmy Bernier, stepdaughter, Sonya Massey (Billy), grandson, Lee Plowden, granddaughters, Alex Merritt (Kevin) and Catherine Massey, special nieces, Victoria McGriff and Michelle Bernier Cote, and his great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Montezuma Rehab and Columbus Hospice for their wonderful support and care during Hank's lengthy illness.
