Helga Hautt, 84, of Columbus Georgia passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Helga was born in Heilbronn Bckingen on September 23, 1938. Helga grew up and lived in Germany until she met Allen R. Hautt.Before settling in Columbus Georgia, Helga and Allen traveled the world which took them wherever his next military assignment was. Helga was a devoted mother of Bill and Pete Hautt. She loved to cook and ensure everyone was always full and satisfied. Helga was a caring and very generous individual who always put others needs before hers.She loved flowers and birds. Her parrot Oscar, was her best friend.
Helga is survived by sisters, Ursula Ipzeitz and Linda Crump, sons, Pete and Bill, their wives, Joyce and Lori, three grandchildren, Brandon Hautt, Joshua Hautt, Kristi Thomas and two great grandchildren, Kendall and Kenzley Thomas.
