Helene M. Campos, 71, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Columbus Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 9, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Skipper officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Campos was born March 7, 1941 in Paris, France daughter of Berthe Gaulon Tetevuide of Fontainebleau, France and the late Jacques Tetevuide. She was a devoted Army wife and loving mother of four boys. She was an expert seamstress who had a passion for culinary arts and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Francoise Vivien.
Survivors include her husband, SFC (Ret.) Samuel Campos of Columbus, GA, sons, Philippe Campos (Sunnie) of Warner Robins, GA, Frank T. Campos (Peggy) of Madison, AL, Manuel Campos (Robert) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Michael J. Campos (Libby) of Columbus, GA, brother, Philippe Tetevuide (Jacqueline) of St. Jorioz, France, brother-in-law, Gerard Vivien, god-daughter, Helene Vivien both of Fontainebleau, France, grandchildren, Victoria F. King (David), Marc S. Campos (Alanah), Emily S. Campos, Christopher Campos, Lee Campos (Nakita), Samuel J. Campos, great grandchildren, Brady L. Campos and Emma L. Campos, nephews, Jean-Marc Tetevuide (Kay) and Stephane Tetevuide (Sandrine), grand nieces, Alanis Tetevuide and Myriem Vivien, and grand nephew, Emerick Tetevuide.
