Helen B. Lockhart, 85, of Phenix City, AL died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Crawford United Methodist Church in Crawford, AL with Rev. Mike Koger officiating. An interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Salem, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th Street. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Lockhart was born June 21, 1928 in Lee County, AL, daughter of the late Eulus and Dasiey Elkins Broadwater. She was a member of Crawford United Methodist Church and Crawford United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter; Georgia Dianne Pope (Marvin) of Phenix City, AL, sons; George Phillip "Phil" Lockhart (Rhonda) of Phenix City, AL and Homer I. Lockhart of Columbus, GA, brother; Joe Broadwater (Ruth) of Salem, AL, sisters; Qumi Taylor, Cora Kite (Neil), and Nellie Gray (Charles) all of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren; LaDana Dianne Eiland (Joey), Christopher Philip Lockhart, and Justin David Lockhart all of Phenix City, AL, great-grandchildren; Jarred Andrew Eiland and Trevor Christian Eiland both of Phenix City, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
