Some people just leave you laughing a bit louder and smiling a bit wider.

H. Dan Stallings, Jr. entered this world July 16, 1947 and departed unexpectedly on September 3, 2024 at his home in Columbus.  He was the son of Mildred G. and H. D. Stallings. From a very early age he was raised by his dedicated and adoring mother and he in return, adored and revered her. He graduated from Columbus High in 1967 where he made many lifelong friends who grieve him today. He went to work for Dixie Distributing Company and married. He moved with his family to Albany, Georgia in 1978 where he rose to become President of Dixie Distributing. In 1995 they returned to Columbus and he purchased Dixie Beer Company. After selling the beer company, he bought a home on Alligator Point, Florida that became his happy place. He loved boats, being on the water, walking the beach and just smelling salt air. He was a generous, thoughtful and loyal friend with as quick a wit as there could be.

He is survived by his daughter Ridley Stallings of Savannah, Georgia, his son Clark Stallings of Columbus, his beloved granddaughters Cate and Margo Stallings and his constant companion and friend Captain.
