Hazel Mae Walker, 89 of Phenix City died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Magnolia Manor.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 till 8 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Walker was born April 5, 1921 in Perote, Alabama daughter of the late Annie Clyde Arrington Phelps and Dewey Lee Phelps. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, cook, read and do hair. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Leonard Shephard and Olean Walker.
Survivors include her daughters, Pansy Robinson, Jeanette Rogers both of Opelika, AL, Shirley Smith and Diane Dudley (Greg) all of Phenix City, AL; sons, Charles Shephard (Judy) of Cataula, GA, Jerry Shephard (Deloris) of Millbrook, AL and John Shephard of Phenix City, AL; sister, Lura Jean Cunningham (James) of Gordo, AL and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
