Hazel R. Jones, 81, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 27, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Mike McBride officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born July 16, 1930 in Coffee County, AL daughter of the late Joseph and Cynthia Smith Robbins. She retired as an Administrative Assistant for the City Attorney's Office in Muscogee County and was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin Jones, Jr. and daughter, Debra Carol Tefft.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hudson (Robert) of Salem, AL, son, John Michael Jones (Susan) of Columbus, GA, five grandchildren, Jared Hudson, Lee Hudson, Justin Hudson, Hope Tefft Kirkland and Hiliary Tefft, and five great grandchildren, Chloe Smith, Aimee Smith, Emily Smith, Jacob Witton, and Eli Owens.
