Hattie Elizabeth A. Stubbs, 98, of Columbus, GA, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM February 1, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roy White officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stubbs was born August 21, 1919 in Ashville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Monroe Talley Askew and Sophie Lou Anderson. She was a member of Living Grace Methodist Church, formerly Sherwood Methodist Church, was active in the PTA with Johnson Elementary and loved to cook and travel with her husband before he passed away in 1990.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Faust Stubbs.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Stubbs of Stockbridge, GA; son, Thomas Hubert Stubbs (Mary Lou) of Duluth, GA; sister-in-law, Joanne Askew, Dawson, GA; 3 grandchildren, Chris Stubbs, Chad Stubbs and Sarah Summerlin and 6 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make contributions to Living Grace Methodist Church.
