Harry (Jim) Gilmore Vaughn, 81, of Yucca Valley, CA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital.
No services to be held at this time according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Harry was born Thursday, April 30, 1942, in Hagerstown, MD, son of the late Gilmore Lane Vaughn and Francene Fay Fair. He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School class of 1960 and lived most of his life in the Hagerstown area.
Harry loved people and could talk to anyone. He was never timid to share his faith in Jesus and share stories of God's faithfulness in his life. His sense of humor was spontaneous and he loved to belt out praises to the Lord, unashamed. He was very generous to give to those who were less fortunate and he would offer to pray for anyone he would encounter in his day. Services and burial will be private and to the convenience of the family.
Harry is survived by sons, Jim and Kevin Vaughn, daughter, Rebeckah Vaughn, and step-son, Chris Reely, daughter Ashley Vaughn, along with grandchildren, James, Abigail, Andrew, Tina, Brandon, Kelly, and Alex Vaughn, Jordan, Alexis Reely and six great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Vaughn and former wife Donna Vaughn.
