Harold "Butch" Weber

Harold "Butch" Weber, 65, of Phenix City, AL., died on June 1, 2014 with his family by his side in Huntington, NY.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday June 7, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA, with Chaplain Cpt. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM at the funeral home.
Butch was born on December 2, 1948 in Blue Earth, MN, son of the late Mable Zutz Weber and Richard Weber. He was an Army Harold "Butch" Weber, 65, of Phenix City, AL., died on June 1, 2014 with his family by his side in Huntington, NY.
Veteran and has been an HVAC Technician with TSYS for the last 15 years. A long time resident of Columbus, GA, Butch spent the vast majority of the last year in NY receiving cancer treatments. His heroic fight against a challenging debilitating disease embodied his way of life of never accepting marginal and always pursuing perfection. Loved by his family and admired by his friends Butch would always provide guidance on home improvement related tasks and often rolled up his sleeves and performed the work aligning to his "love thy neighbor" nature of his soul. His generosity in helping his friends and neighbors was never a chore for him and his humble nature was genuine and symbolic of a simple life with many endearing friends. Called "The Wizard" by his team members and his friends at the supply house, he was truly a magical person with his family. Butch often embraced moments with his family by simply having a Sunday meal, talking on the phone and just spending quality time with his daughters and grandchildren. An avid motorcycle rider and collector of vintage Mustangs Butch was the quintessential "Easy Rider" and "Easy Friend" to all. A man who will be dearly missed by everyone who met him.
Butch was preceded in death by his brother Howard Weber and his daughter Kimberly Diane Weber.
He is survived by his daughters,Kelli Weber Stone of Midland GA and Tiffany DePratt Healy (James) of Huntington, NY, six grandchildren James Hartley, Connor and Collin Stone, Taylor DePratt, Ryan Healy and Tinsley Healy, three sisters- Rosemary Cegelske, Betty Snyder and Shirley Nuenschwander (Denny) and a host of nieces and nephews of Minnesota and Georgia.
