Harlice Walter Carson, 87 of Phenix City died Friday, July 9, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services with military honors will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL with Rev. Bradford McDaniel officiating. A private interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 till 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Carson was born March 14, 1923 in Wadley, Alabama son of the late Carrie Onie Pearson Carson and George Walter Carson. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII. He was a retired supervisor with Civil Service at Ft. Benning and was a Methodist by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary F. Carson.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Beverly K. and Holmes Ives; granddaughter Christen McKenzie Weaver all of Smiths, AL and several nieces and nephews.
