H. Wayne Bell, known as Wayne to his friends and family, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 75.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Cityscape Church with Rev. Jonathan Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM- 12:15 PM at the church 3617 Macon Rd., Columbus., GA according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian, Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Wayne was born on October 2, 1948, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Robert Bell and Mary Cue Bell. Wayne was a lifelong resident of the area he loved and where he built his legacy. His sudden passing from a heart attack has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who were touched by his generous spirit.

Wayne was a proud graduate of Beauregard High School in Opelika, Alabama. His strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Energy Savers Heating and Air in 1977, a business that thrived under his leadership and continues to serve the Columbus community under new generations of family leadership. Wayne's dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Karen Bell. He was a devoted husband and loving father, always putting the needs of his family first and instilling in his children the values of hard work, integrity, and generosity. Wayne loved spending time hunting and fishing and he spent countless hours in the tranquility of nature. His love for travel and exploration also took him to many beautiful places, which he enjoyed visiting with Karen.

Wayne's life was one of purpose and commitment, incorporating his faith in Jesus into every aspect of his life. He approached each day with a sense of gratitude for all the Lord had given him, which fueled a desire to make a positive impact on those around him. He was generous with his time, talents, and wisdom, helping family and friends whenever he had a chance.  Wayne was also a faithful church member for decades, most recently at Cityscape Church.

As we say goodbye to Wayne, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the memories he leaves behind. His journey through life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his older sister, Ann Gravitt (A.L.).  He is survived by his wife, Karen and their children: son, Bill Bell (Cindy), daughters, Krista Fuller (Jim), Ella Faircloth (Will), grandchildren, Amber Gunter (Mike), Erin Noelte (Ryan), Adelyn Norris (Andy), Adam and Catherine Clark; Nicole, Marilyn, and Micah Faircloth, seven great-grandchildren, older brother, Bobby Bell (Norma), four nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
