Gwendolyn M. Bridges, 64, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Hagan officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Bridges was born February 11, 1949 in Macon, GA daughter of the late Cleveland Burns Mitchell and Ruby Brown Mitchell. She is a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church. After attending LSU & Georgia State, she graduated from Columbus College.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Howard C. Bell, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Ronnie Bridges of Columbus, GA; daughters, Julie Anne Owen of New York, Lisa Michelle Owen of Atlanta, GA, and Kathryn Bridges Sanders (Shane) of Columbus, GA; sons, Brandon Bridges (Leigh Ann) of Columbus, GA and Justin Bridges (Beth) of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Lynn White (Bill) of Midland, GA and Shelley Montgomery (David) of Fortson, GA; grandchildren, Hannah, Savannah, Wyatt, Reagan, Walker, and Harrison.
