Gwen Darlene (Waldrop) Hogan

Gwen Darlene Waldrop Hogan, 61, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Gwen was born June 18, 1959 in El Paso, TX to Bobby Keith Waldrop and Dorothy McCoy Waldrop. Gwen graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism and later decided to become a nurse. She received her associate’s degree in nursing from Columbus Technical College and received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Columbus State University. She was very proud to be a nurse. She loved animals and people, she was very kind to everyone she met. She is loved very much and will be missed very much by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Waldrop and husband, Dr. Patrick Hogan.
She is survived by her father, Bobby Waldrop, brother, Bruce Waldrop (Melinda), sister, Vicki Waldrop, nieces, Elizabeth Algarin (Victor), Sarah Waldrop and Leigh Ann Waldrop.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Paws Humane Society at 4900 Milgen Rd. Columbus, 31907.
