Gloria Hale Williams

Gloria Hale Williams, 85, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverend David Howle and Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Williams was born November 17, 1930 in Lindale, GA daughter of the late Fred M. Kelley, Sr. and Gertrude McMichael Kelley. She worked as a private duty nurse for many years and worked more than twenty years for Dr. James Ward and Dr. Durley Dean. She was a devoted member for 30 years at Beallwood Baptist Church and for 30 years at Edgewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, calligraphy and spending time with her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children and husband of 53 years, CW4 James Emmett Hale and her brother, Robert Kelley.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Lee Williams, Jr. of Columbus, GA, sons, Michael Bruce Hale (Evelyn) of Ellerslie, GA and Timothy James Hale (Michelle) of Columbus, GA, step-children, Chip Williams (Debbie) of Vinings, GA, Amy Lacher of Marietta, GA and Leigh Williams of Dawsonville, GA, brothers, Fred Kelley, Jr. (LaMerle) of LaGrange, GA and Gary Kelley of Columbus, GA, special niece, Tonette Luke, 18 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 5900 River Rd. Suite 301, Columbus, GA 31904.
