Gloria Gordon Davenport

Gloria Gordon Davenport, 83, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, September 25, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brad Hicks officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd.
Mrs. Davenport was born July 20, 1926 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Andrew Vollie and Hazel Hearn Gordon. She was a homemaker and member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church, the Azalea Garden Club, the Exchangette Freindship Group and the Madlyn McCardle Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lamar Davenport and her son Larry Davenport.
Survivors include one daughter Jill Copelan and husband Stan; two sons David Davenport and Steve Davenport and wife Linda; daughter in law Karen Davenport; nine grandchildren Belle, David, Will, Zach, Whitney, Drew, Hannah, Jason and Brad all of Columbus, Ga.
