Glennis (Buddy/Bubba) Earl Weaver

Glennis Earl (Buddy/Bubba) Weaver, 70, of Columbus, passed away December 30, 2021.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 6795 Whitesville Road, Columbus, GA 31904.  Graveside burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery (Columbus).The family will receive friends Friday, January 7 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.

Bubba was born November 21, 1951in Phenix City, AL to George Earl Weaver and Kathleen Railey Hamilton.  He served in the Georgia Army National Guard and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  Bubba was fully devoted to his family and he and Carolyn spent countless hours at ball fields with his children and grandchildren.  He loved fishing and traveling, spending time in Panama City Beach, Biloxi, and New Orleans.  Using his culinary passion and skills, Bubba enjoyed providing amazing meals for family, friends and ball teams.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, JoAnn (Johnny) Fabinski and Susie Weaver; and niece Andrea Rhodes.

Bubba is survived by his faithful, loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn Sapp Weaver, brother Lamar (Dorenda) Weaver, two sons: Bo (Paula) Weaver and Jimmy (Rachael) Weaver, and six grandchildren: Dawson Weaver, Clayton Weaver, Raelee Weaver, Eli Weaver, Ansley Weaver, and Larsen Weaver, and ten nieces and nephews.
