Glenda Faye Campbell Eseltine

Glenda Faye Campbell Eseltine, 77, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2023 at Columbus Specialty Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Paul Thomas officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. 31907.

Mrs. Eseltine was born May 12, 1946 in Leesburg, FL to the late Burch and Disey Lucretia Strickland Campbell. She was a dedicated Christian of the Baptist Faith and attended several Baptist Churches throughout the community where she met many people who became friends. She was a loving person that thought about others needs before her own. Glenda loved music, especially Blue Grass Country. She was a very giving person who never left a visit or telephone conversation without telling that person that she loved them. Glenda loved to dress up and have fun. She worked in the textile industry for many years ending her career at Swift Spinning.

Mrs. Eseltine is survived by her son, Jeffery Bates (Shana) of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Deana Cerbo (Hugo) of North Littlerock, AR, brother, Greg Campbell (Rhonda) of Jacksons Gap, AL, "Mrs. Eseltine lost a loving child at birth”, granddaughters, Alyssa Bates, Elul Cerbo, grandsons, Cameron Floyd, Justin Floyd, Preston Floyd, Paolo Cerbo and Enzo Cerbo, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, “Sweet Hannah Bates” and sister, Clara Smith. Her parents, Burch and Disey Lucretia Strickland Campbell and brothers, Grady Campbell, Eudon Campbell, Reginald Campbell and David May, Jr.
