Glen Edward Tew, 90, of Columbus GA, passed away June 12, 2016 at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roy White officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
He was born on May 3, 1926 in Slocomb, Alabama. Mr. Tew served in the Army and is a WWII Veteran. After the War, he made Columbus, GA his home. He worked for Bibb Mills for 45 years and also owned and operated Tew Plumbing Co.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Clara Adams Tew, and his son Rickey Edward Tew.
He is survived by his son, Randall (Debbie) of Cataula, GA, sisters Victoria Morgan, of Lewistown PA & Willie Dell Day, of Troy AL, 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Tew Anderson, Richey Tew (Samantha), Jacob Tew, Harrison Tew & Regan Tew, 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson Anderson, Clara Anderson & Harlee Tew, and daughter-in-law, Cherry Tew.
