Gisela H. Lanehart, 80, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Grandsons and son-in-laws will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Lanehart was born October 8, 1934 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany daughter of the late Richard P. and Maria Lowë Beisiegel. She was a Catholic by faith and a member at
St. Anne's Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Jesse P. Lanehart and her youngest son, Richard D. Lanehart.
She is survived by her three daughters, Stephanie (Bobby) Edwards, Mary Lou (Larry) Jones, and Leona (Jim) Fox, one son, Jesse P. (Jennifer) Lanehart, four grandsons, Tyler Fox, Jordan Jones, Jacob Lanehart and Jonah Lanehart, one granddaughter, Lisa (Daniel) Talbot, great granddaughter, Lucy Marie Talbot, two sisters, Ruth Schnitzerling and Marlene Allekote, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
