Gisela Martha Ford, 81, of Buena Vista, GA died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Gisela was born February 14, 1939 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Eugen Hampel and Elisabeth Zuechner Hampel. She was the Associate Director of Academic Affairs at Troy University. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Ford, brother Udo Hampel, and son-in-law Edward Nichols.
She is survived by her daughters Sabine “Beanie” Ford of Fortson, GA, Virginia Nichols of Buena Vista, GA, siblings Egon Hampel of Germany, Ludmilla Schneider of Canada, Sibylle Roegner of Germany, beloved pets Strubbie and Sophie, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
