Giovanni Mirra, 12, of Midland, GA, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 5, 2014 at St. Anne Church with Father Jeremiah McCarthy officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. A private interment will be held. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Giovanni was born September 28, 2002 in Cittadella, Italy to Laura Mirra and Walter Watkins, III of Midland, GA. He was in the sixth grade at Aaron Cohn Middle School in Midland, GA.
Survivors include his parents, Laura Mirra and Walter Watkins, III of Midland, GA; maternal grandparents, Cristina and Marino Mirra of Grantorto, Italy; paternal grandparents, Yvonne and Walter Watkins, Jr. of Columbus, GA; maternal great grandmother, Maria Tessari of Italy; aunt and uncle, Caterina Mirra and Vincenzo Mirra of Italy; and an aunt, Kynesha Dhanoolal of Columbus, GA.
