Gertrude Burt, 83, of Columbus GA. died Monday, March 16, 2020 at Magnolia Manor.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tommy Hart officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Gertrude was born January 17, 1937 in Russelsheim, Germany. She was a Cafeteria Manager with the Muscogee County School District, loved gardening and was involved at Animal Rescue. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Linda Eh.
Survivors include her children, William Burt (Barbara) of Copparas Cove, TX., Patricia Burt of Catskill, NY., Linda Peeso (Bob) of Columbus GA., Robert Burt (Bonnie) of Columbus GA., Daniel Burt (Tammy) of Columbus GA., siblings, Shirley Ju of Germany, Hanno Reining of Australia, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make contributions to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, Ga., 31909.
