Geraldine Cato

Geraldine N. Cato, affectionately known as Deannie to her family and friends, of Columbus, Georgia passed away January 5, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907

Deannie was born October 20, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Otis and Maggie Nolan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Chester (Toby) Cato, her son, William Ronny Holloway, Jr., sisters, Nancy Johnson, Marie Pevlor and Patricia Pederson.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Holloway (Susie), William Ronny Holloway, Sr. and Tammy Cato Allen (Joey), her sisters, Evelyn Williams (Alfred), Linda Love and Arrie Macon (Frank), grandchildren, Cristy Holloway Wink (Christopher), Gerold Holloway, TJ Holloway (Alex), Megan Holloway, Kyle Allen, and William Ronny Holloway, III, daughter-in-law, Tammy Holloway and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Deannie loved music and loved to dance.

She was a dedicated school crossing guard for over 30 years, she loved her job and all the children that she so carefully watched over.
