Gerald Arthur Melsheimer

Gerald "Jerry" Arthur Melsheimer, Jr., 75, of Seale, AL died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Melsheimer was born November 3, 1938, in Vicksburg, MS, son of the late Gerald Arthur Melsheimer, Sr. and Grace Ross Melsheimer. He was in the United States Army serving two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Melsheimer was the secretary treasurer of the Phenix City Forge and owner of Melsheim Forge. He was a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and an endowment member of the NRA.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Frank Melsheimer.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; and two brothers, Donald Melsheimer and Henry Melsheimer.
