Georgia Lynn Haywood, 62, of Columbus, Ga died Monday September 11, 2023 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center.
A visitation will be held 6:00-7:30 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Georgia was born June 27, 1961 in Camp Zama, Japan to the late Kenneth Evans and Mae Purmort Watson. She retired as an educator from Brookstone College-preparatory School in Columbus, GA. She enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry, cooking, music and spending time with friends. She was known for her sense of humor, infectious laugh and generous nature.
She is survived by her brothers, Nicki Evans (Frances) of Murfeesboro, NC, Rhon Evans (Nina) of Abilene, TX, several nieces, nephews and other family members.
