George “Mike” Michael Gilmer, 58, of Talbot, GA died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mike was born February 6, 1963 in Columbus, GA to the late Wandra Lawrence Battiato. He was a Ret. UPS driver. Other than his mother he is preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Gilmer.
He is survived by his children, Sarah Gilmer Allen (Jonathan) of Box Springs, GA, Michael Kyle Gilmer of Columbus, GA, grandchildren; Lukas Allen, Jonathan Allen, Oliver Allen all of Box Springs, GA, former wife, Lisa Gilmer of Columbus, GA, sister, Wandra Gail Hudson of Columbus, GA, nieces and nephews, Amanda Backstrom Talbot (Joseph) of California, Ashley Hudson of Cusseta, GA AND William Hudson (Beth) of Columbus, GA.
