George Derrick Spencer, 53, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at The Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at River of Life Church 509 Idle Hour Drive Phenix City, AL 36867 with Pastor Freddie Johnson and Pastor Randy Comer officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Spencer was born May 6, 1958 in Columbus, GA son of Audrey Williams Brady (Curtis) of Columbus, GA and the late George Howell Spencer. He was a member of River of Life Church.
Survivors include his son, Derrick Anthony Spencer of LaGrange, GA, grandchild, Kamerin Anthony Spencer of Columbus, GA, mother, Audrey Williams Brady (Curtis) of Columbus, GA, three sisters, Rita Renfroe (Phil) of Columbus, GA, Cristi Boyd (Brian) of Columbus, GA and Candy Spencer of Columbus, GA, brother, Phillip Mark Spencer of Columbus, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Valley Rescue Mission 2903 2nd Ave. Columbus, GA 31904.
